Customer MDM is the first phase for largest footwear and apparel manufacturer in Brazil
Paris, France and Sao Paulo, Brazil, June 23, 2015 — Orchestra Networks, a leading multidomain Master and Reference Data Management (MDM/RDM) vendor, today announced that Alpargatas, has acquired Orchestra Networks’ MDM/RDM software EBX5 to validate, manage and govern their master data. Customer master data management is the first phase in Alpargatas’ multiphase master data management program. Future domains include product, supplier and material.
Alpargatas is Brazil’s largest footwear and world-renowned apparel brands such as Havaianas, Dupé, Topper, Rainha, Mizuno, Timberland and Osklen. Alpargatas also operates a network of over 500 stores of brands Havaianas, Osklen, Timberland and Meggashop.
One of Alpargatas’ biggest challenges was maintaining a consistent and accurate, enterprise-wide source of information. With several enterprise applications, including SAP AFS and LINX, there were multiple sources of and diffuse control over master data. Alpargatas needed a solution to govern their master data, data relationships, hierarchies and integrate/distribute high-quality information to their applications and business users.
