Australian agency responsible for the collection and analysis of vocational education data chooses EBX5 for Classification and Reference Data Management (RDM)
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA -- July 29, 2015 -- at the MDM & Data Governance Summit Asia Pacific. Orchestra Networks, a leading multidomain Master and Reference Data Management (MDM/RDM) solution provider, today announced that the Australian National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) has selected Orchestra Networks’ multidomain master and reference data management solution, EBX5, to form the cornerstone of its new Classification and Reference Data Management System.
The National Centre for Vocational Education Research is the organization in Australia that is responsible for collecting, managing, analysing, evaluating and communicating research and statistics about vocational education and training (VET) in Australia. NCVER is an independent, non-profit company owned by the Commonwealth of Australia and the state and territory ministers responsible for vocational education and training.
To further its mission--to be Australia's authoritative source of independent information on vocational education and training--NCVER provides research and statistics about the state of vocational education and training in Australia. While the source data are collected from state training authorities, registered training organisations and targeted surveys, some of the underlying dimensions and attributes that define or classify the data are sourced from other Australian agencies.
In the first phase of NCVER’s multi-phase data management refit, EBX5 will be used to manage classification data sourced from those external Australian agencies and internal sources, such as the Australian Vocational Education and Training Management Information Statistical Standard (AVETMISS).
“As Chair for the past 10 years of MDM and Data Governance Summits, I have first-hand knowledge of key information management initiatives globally. I use this knowledge to help the MDM Institute’s customers keep abreast of the major trends that are transforming industry and society.” said Aaron Zornes, Chief Research Officer of the MDM Institute. “Our analyst team is seeing increasing interest from organisations looking to automate their data governance/management programme with an all-encompassing solution. Per our Field Report analyst research, Orchestra Networks is a highly-regarded vendor that is well positioned with a single solution that addresses master data governance (MDG), reference data management (RDM), and master data management (MDM).”
“We are very proud that EBX5 was selected to be the cornerstone of NCVERs reference data governance/management programme,” said Christophe Barriolade, President and CEO at Orchestra Networks. “This is further validation of our integrated product strategy and our decision to expand Orchestra Networks’ footprint and partner ecosystem in Australia.”
The National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) is a not-for-profit company owned by the Commonwealth and state and territory ministers responsible for vocational education and training. It is a professional and independent body responsible for collecting, managing, analysing, evaluating and communicating research and statistics about vocational education and training (VET) nationally. NCVER's vision is to inform and influence vocational education and training in Australia through credible, reliable and responsive research and statistical services. Its mission is to be Australia's authoritative source of high-quality independent information on vocational education and training.
