NetSpend is a leading provider of reloadable prepaid cards and related financial services in the United States and serves the estimated 68 million underbanked consumers who do not have a traditional bank account or who rely on alternative financial services. Since 1999, NetSpend products have helped over 10 million customers through a nationwide network of 70,000+ distribution outlets, 130,000+ reload locations and online/mobile presence. The upshot is that NetSpend must clear and settle millions of transactions (totaling hundreds of millions of dollars in debit volume) and reconcile those transactions to the penny on daily basis.
