Reference Master Data is that data which organizations use to classify or categorize other data held by the firm. In most firms, Reference Data is prevalent throughout organizations. Unfortunately, many organizations do not manage reference data consistently or with any governance. There is both reference data that comes from outside the firm (i.e. external) and reference data created internally by individual departments or development teams. This session will focus on reference data that impacts financial services firms sourced from external bodies. We will provide insight on how this data can be governed via a centrally managed repository and also provide some best practices in managing this reference data.
